Hoosick Valley Contractors is committed to ensuring a safe workplace. Hoosick Valley’s comprehensive safety program complies with the standards set by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and other federal and state agencies. It includes procedures for all safety hazards that may be encountered such as fall protection, confined space entry, trench safety, electrical grounding, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
At Hoosick Valley, our safety program is built on the foundation of our safety culture. Safety is one of our five core values. The program focuses on people first; training and educating our people on safe work practices and holding our people accountable for maintaining a safe work site and using safe work practices. All field staff are 10-hour OSHA Certified and all field managers are 30-hour OSHA Certified. In addition, the company holds semi-annual company-wide safety meetings, weekly tool-box talks, job site safety inspections, as well as additional training as needed.
