Commitment to Safety

Construction GearHoosick Valley Contractors is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.  Hoosick Valley’s comprehensive health and safety program complies with the standards set by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and other federal and state agencies.  It includes procedures for all safety hazards that may be encountered such as fall protection, confined space entry, trench safety, electrical grounding, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.  The program focuses on people first; training and educating our people on safe work practices and holding our people accountable for maintaining a safe work site and using safe work practices.  All field staff are 10-hour OSHA Certified and receive additional training courses as required to maintain compliance with OSHA, Federal, State and local regulations.  In addition, the company holds semi-annual company-wide safety meetings, weekly tool-box talks, as well as job site safety inspections.
