As President and Owner of Hoosick Valley Contractors, Stefanie Wiley is the third generation in her family to lead the company. She is also the first woman to lead the organization. As President, she is responsible for the overall strategic vision and implementation of the company’s strategic plan with the executive team. Through her twenty years with the company, she has proven success in financial and risk management, developing internal controls and processes, and team building.
Learning the family business at an early age, Stefanie started working for Hoosick Valley when she was just 15 years old. She graduated from Siena College summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management. Stefanie is also a graduate of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute.
She is an active volunteer in the community and has served on the Board of Directors for the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, chairing the Leadership Institute; the local chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC); and the Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club. She currently serves on the advisory board for the Young Women’s Leadership Institute through Girl Scouts of Northeastern NY. She is also a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and the Forum for Executive Women (FEW). She has enjoyed the opportunity to speak at several community events on the topics of family business, empowering women, and mentoring.
In 2011, Stefanie was honored by the Albany Business Review as one of the top 40 Under 40 business people in the Capital Region as well as one of the five Women Who Mean Business. In 2014, she was proud to achieve certification from New York State as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
